One of the busiest cities in America has signed on to purchase and deploy our Snap-tite Hose Warrior on every engine in the city.
“After a yearlong rigorous field test of multiple brands of 1¾” hose line from various manufacturers, the Fire Department has chosen to purchase Snap-Tite’s Warrior Hose to replace all 1¾” hose that is currently in service. Each manufacturer presented pros and cons to their product but the ultimate decision to go to Snap-Tite Warrior was its proven ability to be burn through resistant. This hose provides the same internal diameter, friction loss, and kink resistance as our current hose line with the addition of a different outer jacket. This heat resistant outer jacket has been proven to withstand over 41 minutes in both conductive and radiant heat load testing. This substantial fiscal investment was made based on the continued desire to increase the operational capabilities and safety of our members. Hose line burn through in our department and the 2014 Boston Back Bay fire tragedy in which a burned through hose line contributed to the line of duty death of two members has solidified this need and purchase.”
